Hire A Hubby is an Australian property maintenance franchise business.  ShrewdPR was retained by their UK Head Office team between 2017 and 2020 to handle their PR and Social Media marketing.  Our support covered two areas of their business; Franchise Recruitment and Franchisee Support. 

Franchise Recruitment
Hire A Hubby held regular information evenings in order target new franchisees.  Our role was to support this activity by working with the local media and securing press coverage.  This helped to increase brand awareness for Hire A Hubby and informed people in the local area of the franchise opportunity, and what was on offer.  Key messages included details on the innovative support package that is available to all franchisees and the affordability of the business opportunity provided by Hire A Hubby. 

Our press activities were supported by Facebook campaigns, both organic and paid for, to help engage with potential franchisees.  Targeted Facebook lead generation campaigns helped to generate large scale awareness of the information evenings and drive attendance.  The Hire A Hubby network trebled in size during the time that ShrewdPR  worked with them.

Whilst the majority of our press activity focused on local media we also carried out a specific campaign targeting the armed forces.  This involved us preparing a quarterly article on Hire A Hubby to appear in Easy Resettlement Magazine.

Franchisee Support
We brought a multi layered approach to this area of our brief.  We worked with the local media in order to generate press coverage to support the launch of each new franchise.  We used Facebook lead generation adverts to promote new franchisees within their territories and ensured that our organic posts showcased the work of individuals when they have received testimonials and recommendations.  Shrewd PR worked with the head office team to create and send monthly email marketing campaigns to the franchisees existing customers, these helped to keep Hire A Hubby front of mind and resulted in new job enquiries.
