Daisy Roots UK Ltd

Shrewd PR worked with Daisy Roots UK Ltd from 2006 until the then owners sold the business in 2015. Daisy Roots were the first company in the UK to manufacturer soft leather shoes for babies and toddlers. All their designs are handmade in Northamptonshire using chrome free leather.
We worked with Daisy Roots on three levels, trade show support, product placement in the parenting press and social medial. Our trade press activity involved booking adverts and preparing editorial to support new product launches and their trade show activity. We also prepared Daisy Roots listings on the websites for the trade shows they attended. This activity has helped them to increase the levels of orders that they took at the shows.
When we started working with Daisy Roots in 2006 the main focus of our consumer PR activity was product placement, due to their limited budget. We maintained regular contact with the parenting magazines to promote new designs and offered shoes for inclusion in fashion shoots. As the business developed and they launched their beautifully packaged gift range this became a natural focus for PR. With the advent of social media we set up and built their Facebook and Twitter profiles. From a standing start in 2010 we helped Daisy Roots grow their Facebook followers to 5,000 and their Twitter followers to 1,200. We have achieved this through a variety of mechanisms including working with parenting bloggers, partnering with Baby Swap or Shop’s Saver Club and running regular Facebook giveaways.
Following market research Daisy Roots launched a range of Pilates shoes for adults; to promote the range we under took a product placement campaign in the health and slimming press and national media. Coverage of the Pilates shoes appeared in Lighter Life, Health & Fitness, Spa Business, Spakit.net, Weight Watchers and The Saturday Telegraph Magazine. The Saturday Telegraph Magazine coverage generated over 40 enquiries to Daisy Roots on the day it was published.
